A Coach in an Urban Debate League told us that several of his debate teams qualified for a State Level Tournament.  On the date of the tournament, one of the teams did not appear.  When he asked them later why they did not come to the tournament, they reluctantly told him that they did not come because they did not have appropriate clothing to wear to the tournament.  

 

We do not believe that anyone should be unable to participate in debate because they don't have the appropriate attire.  We started our first clothing drive in February, 2020 and the results are shown in the attached photo.  Special thanks to all students, parents and faculty of the Hackley School for the donations.  Iuncti Iuvamus (“United, we help one another”).
