Hudson Scholars is an enrichment program created by the Hackley School for middle school students from the local communities of Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown. Pass the Gavel worked with Hackley Upper School Teacher and Director of the Hudson Scholars program, David Sykes, to run a debate club for the Scholars. Over the course of the program, scholars learned the fundamentals of Parliamentary debate and argumentation. They competed in drills and activities even on the first day! We look forward to working with the scholars again!
